What are stain wipes? Why to carry one
What are stain wipes? Learn how individually wrapped wipes work, which fresh stains they suit, and why to carry one for on-the-go clothing mishaps.

It's a fair question. You already have a full bag and a laundry at home. A stain wipe isn't for home, though. It's for everything between leaving the house and coming back.
What is a stain wipe?
A stain wipe is a single-use cloth, pre-soaked in a fabric-safe formula and sealed in its own sachet. It's designed to lift fresh stains from clothing while you're out, with no laundry, soap or sink needed.
You may also see them called smudge wipes, makeup stain remover wipes or stain remover wipes.
Why individually wrapped matters
Each Pocket Wipes stain wipe has its own sealed sachet, so it stays fresh for up to 24 months. At 2–3 mm thick, it fits a blazer pocket, passport sleeve or the smallest handbag.
One sachet treats one stain. Nothing refills, nothing leaks in your bag, and the empty sachet goes straight in the bin.
Which stains and fabrics they suit
Pocket Wipes work best on fresh stains. Manufacturer testing also confirms results on oil and soy sauce when treated quickly.
| Best on fresh | Safe on |
|---|---|
| Coffee · red wine · sauces · light makeup · water-based ink | Cotton · linen · wool · silk · most everyday fabrics |
Always patch test first, especially on delicate pieces.
What's in the formula
The formula is plant based and fabric safe. It contains no harsh solvents, enzymes or added toxins. It's free from chlorine bleach, optical brighteners and added fragrance, and needs no rinse.
It's made for fabric only, not for use on skin.
How a wipe compares with a pen or spray
A stain pen or spray bottle is something else to carry and keep track of. A single-use wipe is fragrance free, takes almost no space and is gone once used.
How to use one
The three steps are on the product page. Treat the stain while it's fresh for the best result.
